Liege has a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and Ph.D. in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering at Federal University of Parana (UFPR-Brazil) and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT-Germany). With more than 10 years of experience working on water resources and environmental issues, most of her experience is related to environmental and hydrological studies and execution of environmental monitoring plans, with the application of different acoustics and optical sensors to detect water quality and hydraulics parameters. Furthermore, she has an extensive experience in the development of watershed management plans and a strong environmental modeling background, working on numerical modeling of rivers, lakes, and shores focused on water quality processes, river flood, and sediment transport assessment. Currently, she is working as Water Engineer in the Water Team at Advisian (Worley Parsons Group), where she can work on different projects related to water and wastewater issues. One of the aims of her career is to act as a bridge between two worlds: the scientific one (where it is necessary to understand every detail of the process in order to develop technologies) and the industry and services sector (where it is possible to see the application of what science has developed and give some feedback about it).
