Created on 3 December 1983, in memory of the martyr Armando Mestre Martínez, the National Union of Architects and Construction Engineers of Cuba, the UNAICC, is an association of professional social interest, integrated into Cuban Civil Society. The UNAICC operates through fifteen provincial branches and in three special municipalities. It also has five companies by specialty: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, and Industrial Engineering applied to Construction, Geosciences, and Chemistry applied to Construction. The Association's main objectives are to promote the integration of professionals linked to the construction sector, to promote the professional development of associates, to recognize the relevant results of our engineers in life and work, and to contribute to the scientific, economic, and social development of the country. Likewise, it encourages solidarity, collaboration, and good practices among its members and related national and international organisations.
