The IAHR Tecnhnical Committee on Ice Research and Engineering is pleased to announce the 27th IAHR International Symposium on Ice "Advances in Ice Research and Applications" which shall take place from 9 to 13 June 2024 in Gdansk, Poland organised by the Gdansk University of Technology and supported by Ministry of Education and Science from Poland.
The Symposium will cover the following areas of ice research, including river, alke and sea ice:
River, lake, and reservoir ice
Sea ice
Ice mechanics and hydraulics
Ice interaction with structures
Shipping in ice
Environmental and ecological consequences of climate change in the cryosphere

Maximum manuscript length is 12 pages with exceptions. Decisions related to breaking the limitation of the paper’s length will be on the scientific committee members and Symposium chair.
The process for indexing of the papers in Scopus is already started. Each paper will gain individual DOI number.
Topics of the special sessions are open. In case of having any suggestions, please contact the organizing committee via email. Your suggestions will be forwarded to the scientific committee.
Each special session must have at least 4 papers.
For the manuscript length limitation of the special sessions, the same rule will be applied.
