Prof. Huang Duruo is Associate Head, Associate Professor of the Department of Hydraulic Engineering, Tsinghua University. Her research interests mainly include hydraulic structures and earthquake engineering. She published more than 70 SCI journal papers in mainstream journals, and was also granted 24 national patents (with 8 as the 1st awardee). Presently, she is editor-in-chief of the Springer Series "Hydraulic Science and Engineering", a member of three technical committees (Earthquakes, Dams, and Ocean Engineering) of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. For her excellence in hydraulic engineering research, Prof. Huang was awarded Second Prize Natural Science Award from Ministry of Education (rank 1st), Mao-Yisheng Science and Technology Award for Beijing Young Talents. Zhang Guangdou Science and Technology Youth Award, Tsinghua University New Academic Star Award, Bright Spark Lecturer of International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, and National 1000 Youth Program.
