IAHR is proud to welcome a new membership type, the Associate Member, designed specifically to bring together the water experts and professionals of national water associations and societies from around the world (see "IAHR starts a Platform for National Water Associations"). As a renowned non-profit academic organisation, IAHR is committed to becoming the global hub of knowledge and innovation for holistic water engineering. This new membership type aims to extend our community's reach, offering more people the opportunity to access our extensive resources and engage with the latest advancements in water and environment research.

The IAHR Associate Membership is a gateway to a world of knowledge, collaboration, and innovation in water and environment engineering.

What is the Associate Membership?

The Associate Membership is a new membership type that strategically connects members of national associations with IAHR that enables benefits from our wealth of knowledge and resources. While Associate Members enjoy a more limited range of benefits compared to Full Members (find a comparison table below), this membership still provides significant opportunities for professional growth, networking, and knowledge-sharing within the global water and environment community.

Why is IAHR Offering the Associate Membership?

At IAHR, we recognize the importance of making high-quality knowledge and resources accessible to a broader audience. Our mission is to promote sustainable solutions to water and environmental challenges worldwide. By introducing the Associate Membership, we aim to expand access to knowledge and empower more individuals around the world, strengthen global collaboration for a more inclusive and diverse community, and support national water-related associations and societies.

How to Join as an Associate Member

Individuals can only join IAHR as an Associate Member through their national water-related associations and societies ("National Water Associations", or NWAs), who have signed an agreement with IAHR, negotiated the membership fee rates, and will serve as the representatives and pay the membership fees for the associate members associated to them. Approach the NWAs in your country to ask for this IAHR Associate Membership. If you are from a national water-related association or society and are interested to bring this benefit to your members, please contact us:
