IAHR Members awarded with 11th the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water in Vienna

Congratulations to our members Prof. Joseph Hun-Wei Lee, former President of IAHR, Prof. Qiuhua Liang, representing the Committee on Hydroinformaticsand Prof. Zhiguo He, representing the Coastal and Maritime Hydraulics Committee, for receiving the 11th Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water.

The 11th Awards ceremony was held on 8 November at the United Nations Office in Vienna, Vienna International Centre. This prestigious recognition highlights the significant contributions of our IAHR community to water research and innovation.

 About Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water

The Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water is a leading, global scientific award focusing on cutting-edge innovation in water research. It gives recognition to scientists, researchers and inventors around the world for pioneering work that addresses the problem of water scarcity in creative and effective ways.

To this end, PSIPW offer a suite of five prizes every two years, covering the entire water research landscape.

Nominations are currently open for the 12th Award (2026). Nominations can be made online for all five prizes directly through the PSIPW website
