The Journal of Ecohydraulics (JoE) is an international, peer reviewed journal, publishing high-quality, original research. It publishes varied research undertaken in ecohydraulics, covering water resources and aquatic life, ecology, biology, hydraulics, engineering, geoscience, environmental science, climate change, and other related fields, with an emphasis on the integration of these disciplines and the contributions they can make for a sustainable future.

Overview
The Journal of Ecohydraulics (Vol. 10, No. 1) has been published, featuring six articles. The first, second, fourth, and fifth papers are open access, while IAHR members can freely access all articles. These papers offer valuable contributions to ecohydraulics research and management.
The first paper examines seasonal trends in water quality parameters like BOD, DO, and total dissolved solids in Botswana’s Khurumela Stream. The second introduces a CFD method using OpenFOAM to evaluate downstream fish passage over weirs. The third explores the behavior of brown trout and chub in a vertical slot fishway, focusing on resting zones and passage success.
The fourth paper investigates optimal gate operations in multiple gate dams to guide fish to fishways, using radio-tagged fish and flow simulations. The fifth introduces three metrics to assess the ecological impacts of frequent hydropeaking on habitat dynamics. Lastly, the final paper provides a systematic review of CFD in fishway research, covering fishway types, models, and validation methods, offering guidance for future studies.
