Due to high demand, the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) is pleased to announce an extension of the nomination period for the IAHR Global Water Awards.

Nominations will now be accepted until 23 February 2025.

For the investigators, the innovators and the changemakers of the water world.

Established by the IAHR Council of 2024, these prestigious awards celebrate outstading contributions and innovations in the water sector across three categories: 

• Individual Category: Honouring individuals who have made exceptional contributions to engineering research, science, technology, management, and practice across any aspect of the water cycle in the hydro-environment sector. More info 

• Organisation Category: Recognising organisations for groundbreaking scientific discoveries, major contributions, or novel approaches to holistic water engineering that are significant at a global level.  More info

• Young Professional Category: Celebrating individuals under 35 years who are leading the way among their peers, demonstrating outstanding contributions related to water engineering involving any part of the water cycle. More info

The 2025 IAHR Global Water Awards Ceremony will take place on Monday, 23 June 2025, in Singapore, during the 41st IAHR World Congress. This event will unite experts, innovators, and leaders from around the world to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, exchange cutting-edge knowledge, and explore innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing water-related challenges.
