IAHR Southern India YPN: Field Visit (October 19, 2024) - Held in Maharashtra, India, this event provided young professionals with an opportunity to explore the region's hydrological networks. The field visit featured a tour of the Panchaganga region, where participants learned about sustainable watershed management practices supporting five key rivers. The highlight of the visit was a tour of the Khadakwasla Dam, an essential piece of infrastructure that played a pivotal role in water distribution following the 1961 Panshet Dam disaster.
IAHR Spain YPN: YPN Night (October 23, 2024) - A networking event held in Madrid, Spain, aimed at connecting YPN members. The evening featured a dinner accompanied by recreational activities such as a fun Kahoot quiz focused on water-related topics.
IAHR Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute YPN: Low Carbon Ride of China Water Week (March 23, 2024) - Held during China Water Week in Nanjing, China, this low-carbon cycling event encouraged postgraduate students and cycling enthusiasts to promote water resource protection through active participation. Riders cycled along a scenic riverside route, collecting stamps at various checkpoints, raising awareness of environmental sustainability in the process.
IAHR Baden-Württemberg YPN: BAW Bundesanstalt für Wasserbau Lab Tour - (December 15, 2023): In Karlsruhe, Germany, members of the IAHR YPN Baden-Württemberg were granted exclusive access to the Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute’s facilities. This lab tour provided a unique opportunity for members to learn about the latest developments in water engineering research and foster new professional connections.
