IAHR prioritises Digital Transformation across the whole water cycle as a key strategic direction. Together, the world's leading water institutes have the expertise, scope and responsibility to help chart the most effective way to build a better digital water future.
IAHR is pleased to announce that more than 120 organisations have participated in the IAHR Global Water Institutes Survey on Digital Transformation in the Water Sector, providing outstanding input that will help shape the future of digital water management. This survey aims to gather insights from IAHR institute members to inform a report on digital transformation to be presented at the 41st IAHR World Congress in Singapore (22–27 June 2025).
The report will explore the opportunities, challenges and risks organisations face when transitioning from traditional hydro-environment management approaches to digital systems.
By analysing these responses, we hope to create a valuable resource that outlines best practices, highlights institutional needs, and provides actionable recommendations for hydro-environment engineering in a digitised environment.
