IAHR is celebrating its 85th Anniversary, and we want to hear from you in videos!

IAHR is 85 years old in 2020. With generous support from our respected members, this global leading association in hydro-environment is able to keep growing and thriving, currently under the leadership of its president, Prof. Joseph Lee.

To celebrate together, we would like to invite you to record a short video and send it to us. It can be as short as a brief self-introduction + "Happy Birthday IAHR" (in both English and your native language), or preferably also include whatever you want to say about IAHR (your stories, experience, vision, and words for the young generation). It can be casual, or formal; joyous, or reminiscent; anything.

How to participate

Simply use your mobile phone (or a recorder) to record a 1-2-minute video (landscape) in any format, and send the file to us by any methods before December 5. To share your video with us, you can:

1. Click here to start uploading your video file; or

2. Save your video to any online drives (Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, etc.) and share it with us (iahrBeijing@iahr.org); or

3. Use WeTransfer to easily send large video files to us (iahrBeijing@iahr.org); or

4. Do it in any other methods.

Your video will be

1. Uploaded onto the "IAHR website > Video Library > Say Happy Birthday to IAHR" which is open to the whole world to watch.

2. Edited into a longer celebration video that includes clips of all congratulation videos we receive.

3. Shared with IAHR members via emails, social medias, website, etc.

4. Used in other non-profit purposes but only for the anniversary celebration promotion.

IAHR 85th Anniversary Summit

To celebrate, IAHR is also organizing a summit with a variety of academic online webinars during December 14-17, including sessions on ecohydraulics, artificial intelligence and water, water security in Africa, climate change and coastal resilience, global water security, institute directors and industry, how to write a good paper, etc. Do save the dates and join us online.
