The Journal of River Basin Management (JRBM) plays a specific role in promoting a cross-sectorial approach encompassing all aspects of river and floodplain management, with a truly global perspective. The Journal is a response by the scientific and professional community to the World Water Vision and calls for an integrated approach to water resources management.

Overview

International Journal of River Basin Management | Vol. 18. Issue 4, December 2020This issue contains interesting and novel contributions to management of water in catchments, with a focus on engagement of communities in the management of water. Papers related to this theme have been sourced from around the world-- specifically from Algeria, Australia, China, Ethiopia, Iran, Mexico, and the Netherlands. These articles highlight the communalities as well as the diversity of matters associated with basin management. Topics considered in these papers include economics, community livelihoods, collaboration, data generation, urbanisation, and climate change within frameworks of both water quantity and quality within the basin.
