The Journal of Ecohydraulics (JoE) is an international, peer reviewed journal, publishing high-quality, original research. It publishes varied research undertaken in ecohydraulics, covering water resources and aquatic life, ecology, biology, hydraulics, engineering, geoscience, environmental science, climate change, and other related fields, with an emphasis on the integration of these disciplines and the contributions they can make for a sustainable future.
IAHR members can access the latest issue online.
This issue comprises six ecohydraulic articles on research leading to practical applications. The first and second papers are on testing effective ways to guide various fish species downstream around dams and on a bioverification framework to evaluate and compare the accuracy and reliability of microhabitat suitability models, respectively. The last four articles constitute a special set of studies on upstream or downstream passage of aquatic organisms. These are contributions from the Lisbon Fish Passage 2020 international conference which was cancelled due to the pandemic. The fifth volume marks the completion of the 5-year mission of the two founding Editors-in-Chief - Christos Katopodis and Paul Kemp - of this new interdisciplinary IAHR journal and includes their farewell editorial. The Journal of Ecohydraulics was and will continue to be inspired by the epistemology and innovation of researchers and practitioners.
A good start – but time for new leadership in the editorship of the Journal of Ecohydraulics
