The China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR), one of the IAHR Institute members and also the host of IAHR's Global Secretariat (Beijing), is offering the "IWHR Outstanding International Student Scholarship" of up to CNY 113,600 per year for outstanding applicants that will cover the tuition fees, accommodation, two one-way international air tickets, medical insurance, and living stipend of up to CNY 49,800 per person per year.
In its 2021 call for international students applicants, IWHR's Graduate School is providing access to 8 programmes for both master's and doctoral degrees in geotechnical engineering, hydrology and water resources, hydraulics and river dynamics, hydraulic structure engineering, hydraulic and hydropower engineering, hydro-environment, hydroinformatics, and water disaster and security.

IWHR was established in 1958 and is a national water and hydropower research institute under China's Ministry of Water Resources with its headquarters in Beijing.
