IAHR World Congress in Granada, Spain (19-24 June 2022) has been earmarked by the United Nations as a key event in the lead up to the mid-term review of the UN Water Action Decade.

The UN has long been addressing the global water crisis and, in December 2017, Member States adopted an International Decade for Action on ‘Water for Sustainable Development’ to occur from 2018-2028.
2023 marks the middle of the WaterActionDecade, and the UN has released a roadmap to the mid-term review highlighting key #events on the global water calendar that directly or indirectly feed into the review by advancing sustainable development, mobilising expertise and facilitating collaboration among water professionals.
The 39th IAHR World Congress will bring together Water Science, Engineering, Research, Hydro-Environment & Water Management professionals to help address the world’s pressing water environment engineering challenges.
