The congress is a wonderful opportunity to present your work and get mentoring from leading experts.
It represents a unique opportunity for networking as well.
You will meet with representatives of the IAHR technical committees.
You will be invited to meet and interact with your peers and mentors through breakout sessions.
You will be able to connect with other Young Professionals Networks (YPNs) worldwide and by areas of expertise.
This is also the chance to make your work known.
All the proceedings will be published and made available in the IAHR e-library after the congress.
Selected works will be invited to publish a paper in a special issue of the Journal of Applied Water Engineering and Research.

5th IAHR Young Professionals Congress
27-29 November 2024
We are thrilled to announce that after the success of the previous editions the 5th IAHR Young Professionals Congress will be held during 27-29 November 2024. A free event that allows you to present your work, get mentoring and network with other young professionals and experts in your field around the world! The International Scientific Committee will be announced soon and will comprise tens of experts from different technical areas that will help to review submitted abstracts, chair the Congress sessions and provide mentorship to all participants!
4th IAHR Young Professionals Congress
22-24 November 2023
Over 130 abstracts were received for the 4th edition! The International Scientific Committee comprised 95 experts from the different technical areas and help to review submitted abstracts, chair the Congress sessions and provide mentorship to all participants!
3rd IAHR Young Professionals Congress
28 November - 2 December 2022
A record 182 abstracts were received for the 3rd edition! The International Scientific Committee comprised 61 experts from the different technical areas and help to review submitted abstracts, chair the Congress sessions and provide mentorship to all participants!
2nd IAHR Young Professionals Congress
30 November – 2 December 2021
316 young professionals from 38 countries submitted a total of 111 abstracts on a variety of topics and innovative approaches, including integrated hydrology simulations, adaptation strategies, green infrastructures, synergies in water treatment, erosion control measures, and patterns of microplastics in aquatic systems among others.
