IAHR, as a long-established association publishing a wide range of peer-review journals, considers the role of reviewers to be at the core of academic literature. Reviewers are carefully selected, close to the subject matter and critical to guiding the Editor´s decision. 91 per cent of authors also consider that the reviewer´s feedback improves their original manuscript.*
The IAHR Technical Committee on Education and Professional Development has organised this webinar with the intention of providing young professionals with expert tips to learn how to review scientific papers.
The webinar is divided into two parts to provide the audience with both editor and reviewer perspectives.
The webinar will include:
Tips and experiences shared by editors and expert reviewers
A discussion on some of the key issues revealed through our participant survey (see below)
Time for the audience to ask questions and discuss issues with editors and experts.
*Sense about Science peer review survey (2009)
Potential webinar attendees are invited to take part in the following survey to help provide the organisers with better insight into the audience demographic, and to help guide the webinar discussion.
