About

Tae-hoon Yoon (1938-2017), an emeritus professor at Hanyang University, the Republic of Korea, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Seoul, aged 79 years old. Professor Yoon had served IAHR as an Executive Committee Member of IAHR-APD and a Council Member of IAHR with the utmost dedication. As part of his duties, he once successfully managed the 31st IAHR World Congress held in Seoul in 2005. He was also a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Born on January 4, 1938 in Korea, as a first step toward attaining his career goal as a civil engineer, he entered into Hanyang University of Korea, from where he received his Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering in 1962.
