Ben Hodges was educated at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (BS), the George Washington University (MS), Stanford University (Ph.D.) and the University of Western Australia (post-doc). He has taught and conducted research at the University of Texas at Austin since the year 2000. His research focuses on water flow and transport behaviour in lakes, rivers, estuaries, and across the urban landscape using advanced 1D, 2D, and 3D models. He is the Principal Investigator for the National Center for Infrastructure Modeling and Management, a 5-year project funded by the US EPA to develop the next generation models of water distribution systems and stormwater runoff management.
