About
In charge of the UCO-UGR River Dynamics and Hydrology Group since 2009, she has promoted the development of tools that include scientific results at the user level for integrated river basin management. She regularly collaborates with IFAPA on studies about water balance in meadow and remote sensing applications in hydrology. She also cooperates with international groups at Virginia Commonwealth University, the University of Twente, the University of Florida, the EURAC in Italy and the Universities of Parma and Bologna, among others. Since 2012 she has been the director of the UCO headquarters of the Interuniversity Institute of the Earth System in Andalusia (UGR-UCO). Her work in this organization has received various recognitions from the Social Councils of the UCO and the UGR, and from the Forum of Social Councils of Andalusian Universities. Since 2014 she has been the coordinator of the Working Group on Water and Energy Fluxes in a Changing Environment of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences. She was elected member of the Commission on Remote Sensing and Hydrology of the same society in June 2015. She is a vocational teacher and frequently participates in scientific outreach activities, in which she tries to combine the fascinating world of research and science with other fields like literature, language and photography. Apart from letters and books (and many laughs), she enjoys cooking and having a fun time with her friends. She tries to practice swimming and spinning. She is amazed with each new bud, leaf or flower that appears on her plants every new season. Lastly, she enjoys learning new things.
