Director of Hydraulic & Instrumentation Laboratory
About
Nor Aslinda Awang work as a Research Officer attached with the Coastal and Oceanography Research Centre, National Hydraulic Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM), since 2000. She obtained her Degree in Civil Engineering from MARA University of Technology, Malaysia. In 2008, she pursued her studies in The University of Waikato, New Zealand where she earned her MSc. in Earth Sciences. Since then, she was involved on many numerical hydrodynamic modeling for mangrove replanting, coastal erosion, sediment transport and sea level rise impacts in Malaysia. In 2020, she was appointed as the Director of Hydraulic & Instrumentation Laboratory, NAHRIM where she was in charge of managing the maintenance & upgrading of the physical modelling facilities in the lab (i.e. coastal basin, port & harbour basin, 50m flume and 100m multi-function flume). At the same time, she also carried out a few physical modelling projects that were assigned to the laboratory such as the "Physical Modelling for Merchang and Setiu River Mouth Improvement Works".
