Dr. Ravindra Vitthal Kale is an Scientist D at National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee (Presently: WHRC, NIH, Jammu). He has more than 10 years of research experience in the fields of hydrology and hydraulics dealing with Surface water assessment using deterministic, conceptual & Remote Sensing approaches; Irrigation and hydropower; Integrated Water Resources Management involving Eco-hydrology & Climate Change; Spring Hydrology, Disaster Risk Assessment & Management; Soft-computing technqiues in hydrology etc. He did his graduation in Agricultural Engineering (1998-2002) from the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth Rahuri, Maharashtra, India and Master of Technology in Agricultural Engineering (2002-2004) with specialization in Irrigation and Drainage Engineering from Department of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, College of Technology, GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar-263 145, Uttarakhand State. He has received his PhD Degree in the field of hydrological modelling (2004-2010) from Department of Hydrology, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IITR ). He is serving at National Institute of Hydrology Roorkee from 2010-2016 and from 2016 at WHRC, NIH Jammu. During his service tenure, he has attended more 27 training courses organized by various reputed academic and central government institutes in India. He is associated in conduction of 7 Training Programmes / workshop / symposium / Brain storming sessions at national level. He has published more than 27 research papers in International / National Journals and Conferences.
