Associate Professor
About
I am Associate Professor and the head of Hydrodynamic Models Laboratory in the Institute of Geophysics PAS, Warsaw, Poland. I conduct research related to marine and riverine waters focusing on environmental hydrodynamics: (1) settling dynamics of particles (including marine snow and microplastics) in stratified water column and in non-Newtonian fluids, (2) transport of sediment and microplastics in open channels. Currently I am enthusiastic about interdisciplinary project on rheological properties of seawater modified by exopolymers and effects on sedimentation processes. I develop lab with particular interest in image analysis techniques, PIV and PTV.
