Luigi Berardi is Full Professor of Water Engineering at Engineering and Geology Department of University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti Pescara (Italy) and coordinator of the Doctoral pro-gram in Engineering Science. At Polytechnic of Bari (Italy) he got a Master Degree in Environmental Engineering in 2004, a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2009 and a Research Fellow grant in 2010-2018. In 2005-2006 he was Visiting Researcher at the Center for Water Systems, University of Exeter (UK). His main area of expertise is the analysis and management of water distribution networks including advanced hydraulic modelling and asset management in the digital trans-formation era; development of machine-learning techniques for water infrastructure man-agement (Multi-objective Evolutionary Polynomial Regression). Author of over 120 scientific papers with more than 40 on international journals; member of International Scientific Committees of Hydroinformatics (HIC), Water Distribution System Analysis (WDSA) and Computing and Control for the water Industry (CCWI) conferences since 2014. In 2019 he founded INFROMHYDRO s.r.l, a spin-off company of University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti Pescara.
