Dr. Georgescu is a professor at the Department of Hydraulics, Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Protection at the Technical University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest. His main areas of competence are: hydraulics and hydraulic machines, wind engineering, conversion of mechanical energy from renewable sources, reduction of energy consumption in water distribution systems. Dr. Georgescu is co-author of over 80 scientific papers. He is the head of the Department of Hydraulics, Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Protection, vice president of the Romanian Wind Engineering Association (ARIV) and member of the Committee on for Renewable Energy of the Romanian Academy
