About

Monica Riva is Professor of Groundwater and Fluid Mechanics at Politecnico di Milano (Italy). She has managed several research projects focusing on groundwater resources and stochastic approaches. She is currently the coordinator of the Water JPI project WE-NEED. Chair of the EGU Groundwater Division and Vice-chair of the Interpore Council (International Society for Porous Media). Her key areas of expertise include data assimilation, stochastic inverse modeling, uncertainty quantification, and multiphase flows.
