About
Civil Engineer (Hydraulic and Energy specialty, 1999), Bachelor of Environmental Sciences (2002) and Master in Civil Engineering Systems (2018), all degrees from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). I have developed my professional career both in consulting and engineering and in the applied research, always in the field of dam engineering and fluvial hydraulics. Since May 2013 I have been part of the Dam and Spillway Safety Research Group (SERPA) of the UPM. Today, I combine my work as a researcher with the work of Technical Director of the technology-startup company of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, ACIS innovation + engineering S.L. (ACIS2in, www.acis2in.es), as well as teaching at the Escuela of Civil Engineering of the UPM. Additionally, I have been a professor of the International Master's Degree in Irrigation and Drainage of the Spain Ministry of Agriculture, of the International Master's Degree in Exploitation and Safety Dams and Rafts of SPANCOLD and I am a member of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR), of the Society Spanish Association of Dams and Reservoirs (SEPREM) and collaborating member of the SPANCOLD Hydraulics Technical Committee.
