About
I have experience in developing hard and soft modelling approaches to support hydrodynamic analysis, including flood hazard mapping alongside human-evacuation dynamics in/to floodwater. Many of these modelling approaches have been made open source with detailed documentation for reproducibility (10.5281/zenodo.4073011; 10.5281/zenodo.4672125).
Career Type:
Scientist/Researcher/Academic
Organization Type:
Universities and Academia
Expertise Fields/Interests:
After a major in mathematics, I shifted into applied fluid mechanics studies incuding numerical analysis. I have often cross-combined between these fields to find practical solution within the field of hydraulic engineering and flood risk management. My areas of interest include the development of advanced simulators to fit practical needs, probabilistic modelling using efficient uncertainty quantification methods, human behaviour modelling under flood emergencies, Collaboratory research across disciplines and reproducibility science.
