Dr. Yan Huang has participated in the consultation on flood control and drought relief in the Yangtze River Basin for a long term, provides strong technical support for flood risk management and emergency treatment of barrier lakes in the Yangtze River Basin. She presides over the compilation of joint flood control and dispatching plans for large reservoir groups in the Yangtze River Basin and related research works, and provides complete sets of solutions for the integrated operation of water resources such as flood control and drought relief, water ecological environment protection, water supply, power generation, shipping, etc. She presides over the research and development of a number of water conservancy application software, such as the Yangtze River Big Data Center, the Yangtze River Basin water engineering joint intelligent dispatching platform, the GIS system based joint flood control and dispatching model software of controlled reservoir groups in the basin, and the component basin model, forming the integrated, configurable and intelligent flood and drought disaster prevention decision support solution for the twin basin water project. She has won 4 provincial science and technology awards, 2 provincial excellent research awards, and published more than 30 papers.
