Stefan is in lead of the turbomachinery research group at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg in Germany. He holds a German French PhD, jointly awarded from LEGI Lab at University Grenoble-Alpes and University Magdeburg. He has a background in mechanical and electrical power engineering. His research emphases fluid-structure and turbine-generator interactions, ecohydraulics and sustainability questions in hydropower.
