Misheck Lesa Chundu is a PhD student at the University of Zambia, studying GIS and Remote Sensing applications in Integrated Water Resources Management with the support of the O.R Tambo Africa Research Chairs Initiative project (ORTARChI). He holds an MSc in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation from the University of Twente, the Netherlands and a BSc in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Zambia, Zambia. He works for the Ministry of Agriculture, in Zambia. His research interest is in the application of GIS and Remote Sensing in water and other natural resources management, and agriculture. Major achievements include 1) currently pioneering wetland water conservation in Bangweulu Wetland in Luapula Province, Zambia; 2) opening of the first ministry of agriculture offices in a new district in Western Province, Zambia; and 3) successful implementation of the Cashew Infrastructure Development Project (CIDP) for climate residence in Western Province, Zambia.
