Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi
Assistant Professor
About
I am currently serving IIT Delhi as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering. My research and teaching specialize in Computational Hydraulics, Groundwater Hydrology, Surface Water Hydrology, Hydrological Process Modeling and Geostatistical Modeling. I am open to accepting doctoral candidates interested in areas aligned to these. My doctoral dissertation, produced at IIT Kharagpur, focuses on numerical modeling of hydrological flow processes occurring in a typical watershed. In my research, I developed computer codes utilizing the open-source Finite Volume-based computational fluid dynamics framework of OpenFOAM® for modeling the processes of confined groundwater flow, saturated-unsaturated subsurface flow, and surface overland flow, respectively. Erstwhile, I hold an MTech in Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and a BE (Honours) in Civil Engineering from BESU Shibpur (currently IIEST Shibpur).
