The EYPW, founded by the International Secretariat for Water, plays a key role in strengthening the position of young people as full-fledged actors in the water sector and, under Hasmik’s leadership, has continued to drive ambition for better inclusion of youth in decision making processes. Water and climate action advocate, Hasmik brings the youth voice to the high-level European and international platforms, in support of sustainable and democratic management of resources and protection of the environment. She was an official delegate to the 16th UN Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY16) in Glasgow, UK, the Pre-COP26 and Youth4Climate event in Milan, as well as at the COP27 in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt and at COP26 in Glasgow, UK. She carried the voice of the Global Youth Movement for Water to the UN2023 Water Conference in New York. Hasmik is a board member of the International Secretariat for Water, as well as that of Green Cross France and Territories. Hasmik holds an MBA from the Université de Nantes, France. She was a fellow of the US State Department exchange program at the Oregon State Capitol. She was a post-graduate fellow in Environmental management at TU-Dresden, Germany.
