About
I am a hydraulic engineer with expertise in flood modelling and water waves simulations. My current research focuses on reconstructing the 1968 Chew Stoke Flash Flood using historical data and assessing uncertainties through a novel inverse engineering approach. This involves the integration of machine learning and the automation of processes, utilizing a workflow for batch running HEC-RAS simulations with a Monte Carlo approach controlled by Python. This project is funded by the Leverhulme Trust. My PhD study was focused on providing a preliminary estimate of the potential hazards associated with landslide-generated waves by developing empirical equations through physical experiments and numerical simulations (Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD). This research is supported by the Royal Society.
