Abstract: The submarine landslide generated waves are the impulse waves which may be caused by any sort of geophysical mass failure under the water surface elevation in oceans. In this work, the propagation of these waves is investigated using both numerical and experimental modeling. The numerical model is developed in two horizontal dimensions using high order Boussinesq type wave model considering moving bottom boundary. The experimental set up is developed to study the effect of bed on the wave’s characteristics. The shoaling effects on the wave height and period are investigated.
