Abstract: An important purpose using GIS is the development of automatic extracting technologies of geomorphic characteristic factors of the basin. In this paper the practical applicability of GIS extracting geomorphic input data from DEM was verified for the simulation of rainfall-runoff models in the area of basins with no gauged data. The Bo-Cheong stream basin, which was the application basin, was partitioned to 5small basins through GRID analysis in Arc/Info and geomorphic characteristic factors were assessed. To analyze the response of rainfall-runoff model varying according to GIS input data, firstly regarding as single basin for the Bo-Cheong stream basin rainfall-runoff analysis was simulated. Secondly runoff analysis was simulated for the data gained from the DEM partitioned to 5 small basins. The results simulated using the data gained after partitioned to 5 small basins are agreed better than it regarding as single basin.
