Abstract: Uncertainty analysis of water quality model in a river is studied by first order error analysis and Monte-Carlo simulation method. The model is applied to assess the water quality variations in the downstream of the Nakdong River. The computed results by using first order error analysis and Monte-Carlo simulation method are compared. The contributions of uncertainties included in each variables and coefficients influencing to the total uncertainty on water quality variation are estimated. Risks of not violating existing water quality standards are presented by using Monte-Carlo method at selected locations. The water quality management system by using Arc/Info is presented.
