Abstract: The National Nature Reserve for the Rare and Endemic Fishes in the Upper Reaches of the Yangtze River (NNRARSF) has owns the unique natural habitat and abundant aquatic biodiversity. The four cascaded reservoirs which have been construction and planning in the downstream of Jinshajiang River will affect the hydrological processes in the reserves reaches. The scheduling model of cascade reservoirs and MIKE11 hydrodynamic model was use to simulate the hydrological process along the reserve reaches before and after operation in typical year, then eco-hydrology indicator was selected to quantify the hydrology process. The result showed that the import of the tributaries could mitigate the effects of the reservoirs operation on eco-hydrology in the reserve. The effect of the cascaded reservoirs regulation on the eco-hydrology reflected that the low flow increased and the difference between the typical years was narrowed, the influence in the storage period was significant.
