Abstract: Water diversion project is a measure to optimize the time and region disposition of water resources, but the ecology and environmental situation are also changed at the same time. This paper focuses on ecosystem health assessment, which plays an important role in the field of ecology and environment science in recent years. In this paper，a set of indicators including natural characters and social functions are established and corresponding assessing modeling method is proposed to evaluate the impact of water diversion project on regional eco-environment. The Xinmeng River into the Gehu lake after the implementation of the project will produce bigger change in water quality and eco-environment of lake, and so as the result of health assessment. The analysis results predict the change tendency of future indicators and lake health.
