Application of InfoWorks CS Software for the Hydraulic Design of HATS Stage 2 Sewage Conveyance System in Hong Kong, China

Abstract: This paper demonstrates the application of InfoWorks CS model for the calibration of hydraulic performance of Stage 1 and also for the hydraulic design of Stage 2 HATS system. The HATS Stage 1 system is calibrated and validated to determine the roughness so as to use for the hydraulic design of Stage 2. A similar model for HATS Stage 2 system also developed to facilitate the hydraulic design and option selection. Finally, the hydraulic performance of the HATS system under ultimate development scenario is also simulated. Challenges in calibration, limitations of InfoWorks CS and results of the modelling are discussed.
