Abstract: Uses the advanced Laser Doppler Velocity (LDV), the two-dimensional correlation gathering survey has been chosen. The experimental study result of channel flow with flexible submerged plant indicated: the vertical flow velocity is the shape of "S". It can be divided into three regions: plant interior area, transition region and upside area. The more plant density is, the larger gradient of velocity in transition region is. Plant density has little effect to flow velocity distribution in plant interior area and upside area. The turbulence intensity and the Reynolds stress increase obviously. The maximum value of turbulence intensity and the Reynolds stress appear at the top plant layer position. It can be concludes that there are the fierce energy exchange and the shear action in this region.
