Abstract: This paper is concerned with a prediction model of beach evolution that can predict the shoreline changes, using quasi three-dimensional nearshore current model. In this study, the 3D morphodynamic model with shoreline changes proposed by Kuroiwa et al. (2004) was modified in order to apply it to morphodynamic around river-mouth. The modifications of the previous model were introduced the variable mesh in the objective area, such as river-mouth and in the vicinity of shoreline. The model tests associated with morphodynamics around river mouth were carried out. The applicability of the model was investigated and discussed.
