Abstract: In this paper, some problems on flow structure, anti-scour and rock riprap about river bend have been studied by using a model of generalized typical river bend. Because the flow structure in bend differs greatly from that in straight channel, so that the falling distances of rock riprap are also different. The relationship between the falling distance of individual stone and depth, settling velocity and flow velocity are presented. Most grouped stones fall farther than the individual stones and spread over an area in sector shape toward the inside due to the action of the circulation flow in the bend.
