Abstract: The reservoir operation has a very significant function to keep the safety of the residence at the flood period. In this research, the decision support system for the reservoir operation with knowledge acquisition is developed by considering the accuracy of flood prediction. The proposed DSS estimates the inflow discharge using AI technologies such as the neural network, the fuzzy set, the object-oriented programming and so on. The abnormal situation is extracted by using the similarity concept. Furthermore, the system has the knowledge acquisition process adding and modifying the new knowledge. The results of processes are transferred to the reservoir operator through the knowledge information.
