Experimental Study on Deposition Promotion of Permeable Structure

Abstract: Based on the flume and field experiment, a droppable and permeable device using triangle mesh permeable frame (TMPF) for deposition promotion is proposed. The devices of different characteristics of water permeability are studied on their disturbing effect on flow structure and sediment movement nearby. The result shows that the device with suitable aperture has good function of decelerating flow and dissipating energy, so the effect on sedimentation promotion is great. The device has many advantages, including adjusting inflow angle automatically, low cost and easy usage with perfect effect. Furthermore, it needs no energy supply and resource and it has little effect on river regime. Its future application will be promising
