Abstract: When a highway traverses a flood diversion area, analyzing its infection to the area by mathematic model is an absolutely necessarily technical index. In this paper, a plane 2-D water mathematical model is set up with finite volume method, and to insure the hydrological conservation, the alternate grid is adopted. To the dry land question, the “freezing” method is taken into account. Finally, take the designing Han-Nan highway as example, the infection of the highway to the flood diversion area is analyzed, such as the discharge process, the flood diversion time, water level, velocity and etc. The conclusion indicates that the 2-D water mathematical model satisfies the condition of the hydrological conservation, and it can preferably model the flood routing on dry land.
