Abstract: The sediment transport under actions of wind, waves, and tides is transported by the resultant velocity of wave mass-transport currents, wind blowing currents and tidal currents. Based on bottom sediment discharge formula developed by Dou, a formula for calculating the bottom sediment transport rate has been derived. The bottom sediment is composed of bed load and part of suspended load. The formula was used to calculate the sedimentation amount in the access channel of the Huanghua Port, which gave a reasonable result compared to the prototype.
