Abstract: This study addressed to investigate how flow and bed morphodynamics in channel curvature contributes on swimming fish evacuation during floods by means of laboratory experiment and numerical analysis. The results of the experiment showed that fish individuals (Japanese medaka: Oryzais Sakaizumii) reacted instantly to both discharge increase and decrease. By comparing results of the experiment and numerical analysis, the qualitative swimming fish behaviors to discharge fluctuations were adequately explained by simulated physical variables and it has enabled the following discussion, the contribution of each meso-site in a channel for fish evacuation.
