Abstract: Since algae attached to gravel are major primary producers in river ecosystems, studies on their growth process have been conducted so far, however, detailed studies on alteration after algae have died are considered Is insufficient. Therefore, in this study, we will investigate the change of gravel attached algae in short term observation for real river, and investigate the growth dynamics after algae dying. The observation place in this research is the confluence point of Asuke River and Tomoe River. we observe the amount of attached algae once a day for 60 days and conduct it twice in summer and winter. By this observation, we clarified the detailed growth process of adherent algae and also clarified the influence of difference of water quality, season, rainfall on the growth of algae. In addition, we also clarified the spatial distribution of adherent algae on one gravel surface.
