Abstract: Through various stakeholders'collaboration and partnership, ’Kanto Region Ecological Network Council’makes efforts for the conservation and restoration of waterside environments by applying Oriental Storks (Ciconia boyciana) and Crested Ibises (Nipponia nippon) as indicator species, and for connecting such activities to regional development and local revitalization. River administrators contribute to the ‘establishment of settling-down-sites’by achieving both disaster prevention and risk reduction and ecosystem conservation.
